Haley Scholars Fall 2013 Reading Groups

This fall, we'll coordinate three reading activities as part of our Johnetta Haley Scholars program. The Haley Leadership Academy is a program for students defined as under-represented. The Haley programs are facilitated by Earleen Patterson, who also directs the Student Opportunities for Academic Results (S.O.A.R.) program.

This year, our groups are reading Michelle Alexander's The New Jim Crow, Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers, and Kathryn Schulz's Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error. The project is designed to:

● Stimulate increased intellectual activity among Haley Scholars and the broader community
