The Black Lit Network includes four interrelated projects -- a podcast series, a book recommendation resource, a data visualization gallery, and a keyword guide -- all designed to illuminate aspects of African American literature and literary history. The Network also includes a program for undergraduates and graduate students to learn more about African American literary studies using technology.
The Network is a joint project from African American literary studies at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the History of Black Writing (HBW)* at the Indiana University, and Howard University. The project is made possible by the generous support of the Mellon Foundation.
*HBW was previously at the University of Kansas.
