Introducing the Literary Data Gallery

The Literary Data Gallery contains a variety of data-informed visualization projects about Black creative works, creative artists, and literary critics. Funded by the Mellon Foundation, this gallery contributes to online visual discourses by publishing data stories and visualizations related to Black literature.

This project charts new ground for literary studies by making data visualizations central to African American literary studies. As the lead editor of the gallery, I am interested in producing and commissioning projects that empower audiences to recognize new insight, make key discoveries about black literary art, and deepen knowledge about African American authors and novelists.
