For our March 11 session, we did more work for our "great escape" project -- an arts activity where we're producing creative departures from those slave ads where owners would published "wanted" posters for runaway enslaved people.
This week, we worked on images associated with Henry Box Brown, the famous ex-slave who literally shipped himself to freedom. We were thinking of ways that we might incorporate images of Brown and his box into some of our escape ads.
