Chapter 4 of Batman and the Outsiders provides more setup. It's a break from all the action in the previous issues and perhaps preparation for what is to come.
Based on what you read in chapter 4, which storyline were you most interested in? Why?

I am still most interested in Sofia's story. I always find stories like hers compelling. Many stories tempt the heroes into turning to the "evil" side, but the characters often never fail to resist.
This is why I think stories like Sofia's are interesting. It is much more relatable, in my opinion, when a character actually falls to their temptations and gets redeemed later instead of never failing. I was disappointed when I watched the newest Star Wars movie for the same reason. I didn't find Rey's story to be relatable at all, since she never really changed throughout the story. The story is Lesser Gods will be much more satisfying no matter what happens.

Sofia's story still ends up being more intriguing to me. Her face to the evil side and Ra's plotting grabbed my attention more. I am still curious about what powers Ra himself has that Batman does not even want to go up against him. It is also crazy to see Sofia get put in crazy events as having people go against her to the death drastically changing her mindset.

I am more interested in Batman's storyline with trying to save Sofia and confronting Ra's Al Ghul. I am always intrigued by the battle of wits and morals between Batman and the Head of the Demon when they clash on their ideals in saving the world. While Ra's al Ghul aims to bring about the worst in people, Batman wants to bring out the best in them; however, when it comes to actions Batman is still morally gray as he resorts to beating criminals to near death in order to save his city. At times Batman can be no different from Ra's al Ghul and Batman could have been what Sofia has become had Batman agreed to join Ra's al Ghul's side. I'm very interested in how Batman will attempt to save Sofia from Ra's Al Ghul.
Katana's story interests me alot. I have so many questions on ehy and how her husband is trapped in the blade? As well does she only here the blade? In certain games and other storyline they say someone murdered her husband with that blade and then Katans killed those people and their gang for her husband.
I'd say that I, like many of my peers, am most interested in Sofia's storyline. I want to know how Batman is going to try to bring her back to the light; to me, she seems too far gone. The Outsiders have orders to bring her back by force as well, so I don't think that that is going to persuade Sofia much, if at all.
From the beginning I have always been interested in the relationship between batman and the outsiders. The outsiders seem to trust black lightening more than batman. At this point the team still looks at Bruce as a boss instead of a companion. So far the writers are doing great in terms of having the relationship between each outsider shine. This will be interesting to see moving forward when they have to deal with Rhas al Ghul and Ishmael.
I am becoming more interested in Duke and what his role will be for the rest of the story. This chapter seemed to focus a lot on him, and so maybe this is setting the story up for some big things to happen in his arc.

I'm really interested in Black Lightning and his journey to become a better leader, while also dealing with his shaky relationship with Bat-Man. He is definitely struggling with the leadership role, and I am eager to see his character develop into one eventually. Bat-Man, on the other hand, kind of throws a wrench in that plan, simply due to his aura of mystique. It's interesting to see him deal with Bat-Man and try to be a faithful, open leader, different than Bat-Man's leadership.
The character whose story I am most interested is Black Lightning. There is something about leadership being thrust upon a character that is very endering. I'm excited to see him truly fill the position he is in and flourish as the outsiders leader.
Black lightning's story line has really jumped out to me the most so far, which was unexpected before diving into the content of this book. His development as been phenomenal as he has been learning how to lead others down a path greatness. I see how Bat-man's presence rubs off on him and can't wait to see what he can do with the skills he is learning.

I am most interested in seeing the growth Black Lightening goes through during the rest of the comic. He leadership skills are constantly tested by those around him. He has grown to earn the title of leader but still has room to prove himself in the role. I am eager to find out how Black Lightening will turn out as a leader.
I am most interested in Sofia's story, I am very interested in Batman's plans for her and how her character arc will develop/
I am most interested in the growth of the team's relationship. It seems that Black Lightning is starting to grow as a leader as well as form meaningful relationships within the team and I am excited to see this dynamic play out during combat and team interactions.

The best part of Chapter 4 was seeing Sofia fall between opposing sides and not knowing where she will land. The writers have done a good job by creating a well thought out story. They also know how to create emotion really well. A good example of this was when Tatsu and Maseo were screaming each other's names reaching out. These 4 panels were some of the best so far. - Justin J
I also, like others, am most interested in the story line of Black Lightning as he tries to become a better leader for his team. While reading you can tell that he is growing, because from the start he would tell and argue with Orphan telling him he didn’t wait for the signal, but not he seems more calm and collected about different situations. Also, I want to see how him and Batman are going to interact because I feel like they don’t have a very good relationship. - William Shanklin
Once again, I am more compelled to Sophia’s story - I find females more interesting to read about that the typical male lead. Also, I just do not like Batman at all so I could be a little biased there. It is cool to see the relationship between Ra and Sophia while reading this novel. It’s just admirable to see the underdog overcome whatever obstacles come their way.
