Public Thinking Event (November 4)

Earlier this week, we coordinated a Public Thinking Event concentrating focusing on creativity and diversity. We also included a couple of panels on East St. Louis, continuing our efforts of involving SIUE students in our thinking and writing about the city.

In terms of format, we also did more to refine our group assignments with this event. We instructed the students who attended the event to work in small groups of 3 to 5, preferably with new and unfamiliar people. That minor instruction had powerful results as participants shared and exchanged ideas with people they have been passing by for months while standing in the same space.
