The memorable essay by Galdwell that stands out to me is "Troublemakers". This essay is memorable because the category problem is an issue that can greatly affect an individual. The category problem has greatly affected me in the nursing program. When people tell me their opinions about classes or teachers it changes my outlook before experiencing the situation myself. What one person my feel about a professor or class could be totally different for me.

The essay "Troublemakers" proved to be the most memorable for me because it primarily discussed the "category problem", more commonly known as stereotypes. A major way the "category problem" manifests at SIUE is the reputation certain professors hold.

"The Art of Failure" is the essay that sticks out most to me because it addresses the diffrences of chocking and panicking, and stereotypical threats. As an African American male college student I can say that I too have suffered from stereotypical threats. Sometimes I would choke on test thinking about how important it is for me to ace them because of my race and gender. Now I just try to only worry about doing well because I want to.

The essay that was most memorable to me was "The Art of Failure". Although I can usually work under pressure, at times I get stressed. When it comes to school I sometimes get so stressed that I do not know where to start. When I start over thinking everything I don't do anything. The fear of failure is the only thing that keeps me going. I focus less on how much work i have to do and I just do it. I try to put my best foot forward to succeed.

The essay that was most memorable to me was "Troublemakers" this essay was most memorable to me because i was one of the people who also assumed that pit-bulls were just dangerous dogs that didn't need to be on the streets. I was a prime example of the category problem of that subject and would have previously been one of the neighbors to agree to pass the bill banning "muscle dogs"

I thought that the essay entitled "The talent Myth" was the most memorable to me. I found it really interesting read about all the benefits that "smarter" people get just for being the brightest or best a ta certain subject. I now pay more attention to the benefits i receive for my work ethic and accomplishments.

The essay that sticks out in my mind is "The Art of Failure." This essay is memorable for me because, in my mind, to be successful you have to know the difference between choking and panicking. You must know the reason behind your failures, whether your failure was due to choking or panicking, so that you can readjust and try again.

The essay that sticks out most to me is "The Art of Failure". I say this because I just wrote an English paper on the body's response to stressful situations and our inability to succeed in some cases. Most people don't understand that not only practice but experience helps overcome this problem.

The essay that proved to be the most memorable to me was "The Talent Myth". I never really thought about how teachers treat smart people versus people who aren't as talented. Its common that teachers like the smart students better, but I never realized how it affected the students who aren't as smart. After reading the essay I began to pay more attention to how I was treated compared to how others were treated in the classroom.

The essay the "Art of Failure" is the most memorable to me because it helped me to understand the difference between choking and panicking. It seems that I often choke when I get into stressful situations and I now realize what I have to do to overcome it. Taking action instead of over-thinking the situation and not moving is the best plan for me to excel.

The essay that was the most memorable to me was the "Art of Failure" because it discusses how major stereotype threats can be and how many individuals can miss out on opportunities because they take heed to the threats instead of rising above it.
