Covers for Apex Hides the Hurt
My interest in African American publishing history often leads me to study different book covers. I was recently looking at some of the covers for editions of Colson Whitehead's Apex Hides the Hurt.
The French edition really stood out to me when I first saw it because, unlike the other covers, it foregrounds a black model on the cover.
