I was recently checking out links to poetry readings on the Library of Congress website. One of their projects involved "the St. Mark’s Poetry Project Audio Archive, which consists of 420 recordings from the Poetry Project at St. Mark’s in the Bowery." It includes 40 years of poetry readings.
I've been taking a quick look. Here's a roundup of readings that include a few black poets during the 1990s.
