Adrian Matejka's "Sporting Life" meets hip hop

Yesterday during our East St. Louis Digital Humanities Club, Jaylen, one of our members, and I were talking about blending poetry and hip hop. We found an audio recording of Adrian Matejka reading "Sporting Life," a persona poem in the voice of Jack Johnson.

Jaylen listened to the recording a few times and then started adding various hip hop beats that he found to complement Matejka's reading. Here are a couple of the mixes that Jaylen produced.
