A Practical Handbook for WordPress Themes by Tristan Denyer

Tristan Denyer's book A Practical Handbook for WordPress Themes (2014) is the most exciting new addition to my personal library. I met Tristan early on during my days directing Black Studies, and in many ways Tristan, along with Marci Daniels, shaped my interest in making the program hi-tech and highly visual with posters and postcards.

Tristan donated his time and talents as a web and graphic designer to our many projects. Now, he's sharing  his knowledge in a book. The book is written to assist those running or managing WordPress websites to make wise decisions about selecting themes for the sites.

The writing style of the book is especially helpful and inviting. Tristan has a high level of technological expertise, yet he writes in a language that is accessible to those of us who are not experts. In other words, his book is user-friendly.

I've spent some time reading through a few of the chapters, and I'm looking forward to reading more.
