Our Black Verse exhibit includes a set of approximately 100 'knowledge-building' images featuring various people involved in intellectual or information gathering activities.
This video provides a look at some of the images we used. The wonderful vocals are by Treasure Shields Redmond, whose Fannie Lou Hamer poems are also featured in the exhibit. In this piece, Treasure was singing during one of her readings.
