A Crown for King #7

He said we need justice without violence.
So we say: justice without violence.
He taught us what forgiveness can mean,
this man who dared to hope and dream,

to see: beyond violence is non-violence.
This man saw violence as nonexistence.
Sing yourselves, he says and demands.
The promise is now in our hands.

Away from inequality’s campground,
we together will make white and black straight.
We will find love, respect and pardon:
leaves of one tree, flowers of one garden.

Together we can work our way through
the conflict and turbulence we’ve come to.
