A Crown for King #3

This one man who dared to hope and to dream
would turn to other men for inspiration.
When under pressure, the crowd’s call to arms,
when he wanted to shout, I’m only human,

he’d hear Ghandi’s voice saying, aren’t we all?
Even those who harm us. The strongest force
is love. From the moral the practical
approach comes to free those who are oppressed.

From the moral, the essential. For us
to survive in a time when missiles slice
our skies, explorers dash through space, we must
all realize, said King, we have no choice

between violence and non-violence.
It’s non-violence or non-existence.
