The Brooklyn-based hobby shop Bulletproof Comics and Games sponsored special variant covers for Black Panther #1 with artwork by Gabriele Dell'Otto. There's a cover in color and one in black and white.
Dell'Otto's covers show Black Panther battling supervillain Doctor Doom. The scene depicts Black Panther at an advantage, preparing to strike Doom after having dodged his electric shock waves. The Dell'Otto covers are unique in that they showcase Black Panther in an apparent epic battle with such a prominent villain in the Marvel universe.
