Charisse Jones and Kumea Shorter-Gooden's Shifting

This semester, a group of us will cover Charisse Jones and Kumea Shorter-Gooden's Shifting: The Double Lives of Black Women in America (2003). One of our other groups will cover Ta-Nehisi Coates's Between the World and Me (2015), and another group will cover Sarah Lewis's The Rise: Creativity, the Gift of Failure, and the Search for Mastery (2014).
