The GRIT program

For a few months now, I've been working with my colleagues, Professors Vicki Scott and Danice Brown on a program known as "GRIT" at the SIUE/East St. Louis Charter School. The program is designed to encourage stronger senses of resilience and persistence among students.

So far, we've coordinated activities as well as hosted a few different visitors to work with the 9th and 10th grade students at the school. What follows are entries based on notes and photographs that I have taken this semester.
