A Human Book-Reading Machine

One of our bio-sketches from Thursday's exhibit.

Some folks refer to her as a novelist because she authored The Dying Ground and The Last King. Others refer to her as a television show writer based on her work on “the Women Murder’s Club” “Harper’s Island,” and the upcoming show “Mercy.” But the truth is, Nichelle Tramble is a most wonderful, organic, fully operational book-reading machine, a fact made most apparent if you follow her blog or her twitter page, where she’s mentioning a book she’s read in just about every other post. She visited SIUE some years ago to do readings from her novel and talk to us about writing, reading, and thinking. She inspired us then; she’s inspiring us now. —H. Rambsy
